Intimate Instruments Workshop
Build & play the Linguaphone of Tremulous Communion: a musical instrument that can’t be heard by an audience. Made specifically for two players face-to-face, the instrument’s vibrations flow through the teeth, using each player’s head as a resonant chamber. Musical tones are vibrantly audible to players, but not bystanders. Workshop participants get a Linguaphone kit, instructions, and collaborative help in customizing and building their instrument. Building takes approximately 20 minutes, and is kid-friendly. Instrument kits are free; $10 suggested donation covers material costs.
