Taylor Hokanson and Chris Reilly will be displaying their DIYLILCNC project, a set of open-source plans for an inexpensive 3-axis CNC mill at the Learning Modern exhibition.
Co-organized and presented by the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Mies van der Rohe Society at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Learning Modern explores the legacy of the Bauhaus through art, technology and design installations hosted in SAIC’s Sullivan Galleries, a vast, open exhibition space carved out of an architectural landmark, Louis Sullivan’s former Carson Pirie Scott department store.
